AIM for Good Health in the New Year


January has arrived and many people see this month as a chance to start making positive changes.  The typical New Year’s resolutions includes trying to eat healthy, exercise, get more sleep, and the most common is weight loss.  Instead of focusing on the scales this year, try something new and focus on becoming healthy. If you really want to make positive changes in your life, then it is important to ask for God’s help.   Following are a few ideas to finding good health this New Year.

Ask for Help

God created your body so ask Him what you need to do to stay healthy or improve your health. Jeremiah 33:3 says, “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.”  Seek the assistance of a doctor, chiropractor, physical therapist, massage therapist, personal trainer, or nutritionist to help you improve your health.  Each person is given only one body and it is important to take care of it.  If you do not take care of your body, then who will?

Set Realistic Goals

It is important to write down a long term goal and then break it down into smaller short term goals.  Write down what you want to accomplish in one year, six months, in each month, each week, and finally each day.  Accomplishing the daily goals will leave you with an immediate feeling of success, which can motivate you to continue each week.


People are more likely to stick to their goals if they are being held accountable by someone else.  Try getting the support of your family or friends to help you eat healthy, exercise, get more sleep, decrease stress, drink an adequate amount of water, start taking supplements, read your Bible more, etc.  Once your healthy goals become a habit and you can see some results, it is easier to maintain a healthy lifestyle on your own.


To become healthy, some people need supplements to help them remove toxins from their body.  Some toxins can cause people to gain weight, be tired all the time, or even cause muscle or joint pain.  God designed the body with many wonderful organs and systems to remove the toxins but sometimes these toxins get clogged up because of eating unhealthy foods, lack of exercise, or unhealthy lifestyle.  When these organs and systems are bombarded with the thousands of toxins from food, drinks, the air, or parasites, sometimes they don’t work the way God designed them to work.
