Fibromyalgia, Pain, and Fatigue to World Championships

Imagine spending your whole life with constant infections of your throat, ears, tonsils, sinus, lungs, eczema, allergies, asthma, then as a teenager adding to the mix of fibromyalgia (FM), then in the early 20’s chronic fatigue, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), and by the mid 20’s dealing with symptoms of being over medicated.  Since I had never known any different, I just thought this was how everyone felt.  I thought everyone had to take medications everyday.  The allergy shots during elementary age, junior high, high school, and even as an adult, never seemed to work.  There finally came a time where I was sick and tired of feeling sick and tired.

I was not feeling any better on all of the medications so I asked God what to do and I was soon introduced to the AIM products.  After taking the AIM products for several months I was able to gradually stop taking my medications.   All of the sickness, FM, and IBS symptoms just mentioned disappeared!

After having kids, I started competing in sports again.  The AIM products helped me to be successful in competitions and brought me opportunities of  TV shows, commercials, featured in magazine articles, and writing for magazines and newspapers.  Following is more details of how I improved my health and no longer live in pain.

Childhood Sickness

As a baby I was sick every month and had to be on an antibiotic several weeks each month.  During elementary age through my early 20’s, I continued to suffer from chronic strep throat, ear infections, tonsillitis, sinus infections, bronchitis, eczema, and allergy problems.

At 15 years old, I started experiencing daily pain in my shoulders, neck, and back and it continued as an adult, but with each passing year the fatigue and pain increased. In my mid 20’s the doctors finally diagnosed me with Fibromyalgia (FM, which is a type of arthritis that causes pain in the muscles, ligaments and tendons combined with chronic fatigue.) I took many of the medications that they suggested but some of the side effects were worse that the FM itself. The doctors that specialized in FM said there was no medical cure for FM, but they could give me medications to take an edge off the pain and fatigue, but it would only work for a couple of months, and I would have to start experimenting again.
With FM, I felt like I had the flu 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

By my mid 20’s I was already experiencing being overmedicated. We wanted to start a family, but the doctors said I should not take the medication while being pregnant. I had to ask myself, “If the medications were not safe for my baby, then why were they safe for me? If I started taking these medications while I was in my early 20’s, what would my organs be like by the time I was only 40 years old?”
I wanted to stop taking the medicines so I started praying and searching for a natural remedy for relief of my back pain, fatigue, and other health problems. I knew I was not healthy enough to carry a baby.
The answer that I received was the AIM products.

Sleepy  and “Foggy” Thinking

The first thing I noticed after taking AIM’s Barley juice product was I started sleeping through the night. (I was waking up 6-8 times each night). Of course this helped the fatigue during the day. I seemed to be in a “fog” most of the day, but after the Barley, I soon began to think more clearly. After I started taking the Barley two times a day, I no longer felt sleepy after lunch.
My back pain started diminishing, along with allergies, eczema, fatigue, and digestive problems.  I gradually started to decrease my medications.

Irritable Bowel Syndrome

I soon started taking AIM’s Herbal Fiberblend. It cleans out the colon,  kills parasites in the colon, and the added fiber helped to keep people full. The pain and fatigue of the FM diminished even more. The chronic colon problems disappeared (irritable bowel syndrome) along with the eczema and allergy problems.
I had decreased my medications over time and was able to stop taking them completely.  (Praise God!!) I felt the best that I had felt in years.

Pregnant and the AIM Products

Debra jogging with her kids

I had researched the AIM products and knew they were safe to take while I was pregnant and nursing  a baby.  I had two healthy pregnancies and a healthy daughter and son that were 23 months apart.

With my health improving, I felt like I had a second chance in life. I was no longer a prisoner to my body and felt like I could do anything that I wanted to do physically.  I decided I wanted to start competing in sports again.  But the question was, “Could I compete in sports at the age of 32, after having 2 children, 30 pounds over weight, and FM?

Weight Loss

Before I could compete in sports, I knew that I had to be at a healthy weight to have a chance at being successful.  I set a long term goal to lose 30 pounds with short term goals of losing 5 pounds a month.  I lost 30 pounds by exercising, eating healthy, and using the AIM products.  I not only lost 30 pounds, but I regained my strength, speed, and quickness that I had in high school. I felt the best that I had felt in many years.  I finally felt like I had the energy to be the mom and wife that God designed me to be.

Fitness Competitions

Debra climbing up the 10' wall

At 32 years old, I decided to train for fitness competitions that had a combination of two events:  an obstacle course and bathing suit competition.  The obstacle course is made up of a 10 foot wall and a 15 foot cargo net to climb up and go over, monkey bars, an “over and under”, hurdles, rope grid, 50 pound water jogs to carry, etc.    The object is to run through the course with the fastest time.

Debra, 32 years old

The bathing suit competition is judged while wearing a bikini and high heals.   Points are deducted if the competitor is too skinny, too muscular, or too much body fat.   This score is combined with the obstacle course score and the top 15 scores are invited to the “Winner’s Circle.”  In this round of competition, the girls are dressed in a formal evening gown and interviewed in front of the crowd.   The points are totaled and the top five are awarded cash prizes.

Debra scaling down the 15' cargo net

I found myself competing against girls that were 18, 19, and 20 years old.  At 35 years old, I found myself faster and quicker than many of the younger girls and was able to tone my body to get back in a bikini. There were 100 girls that competed in each competition held around the world and the top 25 would advance on to the World Championships.  I won the obstacle course competition 2 times and was in the “top 5” fastest in 9 different competitions.  I was in the “Over all Top 5” (cash prizes) for 6 competitions.  In 1999 I won the Texas Galaxy competition and placed 2nd in the Galaxy World Championship.

Success at Coaching

After retiring from competing in the fitness competitions, I started training other people that wanted to compete in obstacle courses.   I not only taught them fast techniques of the obstacle course, but also how to train with weights, cardio, sprints, nutrition, how to lose the body fat to get in a bikini, and stage presence. I found success as a coach and was excited for four of my clients as I saw them succeed and place in the “Top 5” at the Galaxy/Nova and the WTF, Women’s Tri-Fitness.  (Amy Sever, Karen Anderson, Mimi Zumwalt, and Courtni Andrus.) There is also a Men’s Competition in the Galaxy which is only a obstacle course.  I trained three men, Derrick Blair, Chad Shadden and Gorden (Flash) Havens and they won 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.  In the  Junior Division (obstacle course only), I trained several teenagers that won 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place .  They were Ryan Maney, Martin Vellegusis, and Angel Martines.

Debra 40 years old, (center, back) and the West Texas Karate Demo Team

After retiring from competing in fitness competitions, I did not want to slow down and was enjoying my good health. I started taking Tawkwondo lessons with my kids. I competed in taekwondo and won multiple trophies and was asked to be on the West Texas Demo Team. The karate team demonstrated a combination of martial arts, tumbling, and breaking boards, and nunchucks, with a message of saying “no to drugs.” I not only regained my health, but at 38 years old, I was able to do back handsprings, back flips, aeroils, and many other tumbling moves combined with karate.  At 40 years old, I received my brown belt and the next step was working towards getting my black belt.

Free of Pain

Through God, the AIM products, exercise, and a healthy lifestyle, I have been able to be symptom free of the Fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, eczema, irritable bowel syndrome, allergies, and chronic sickness for many years. The FM symptoms return when I am under too much stress, injuries, sickness, surgery, and weather changes. The symptoms also return if I quit taking the AIM products, stop exercising, do not drink enough water, or eat certain  foods.

The success of my fitness competitions allowed  open doors of opportunities that I never expected or even imagined myself doing. I have been in several TV commercials, a few talk shows and TV shows, which includes the number one hit TV show, Baywatch. I have been featured in multiple fitness magazines, written articles for fitness magazines and write monthly articles for several newspapers and a magazine.

Healthy at Last

I can not  imagine life without the AIM products!  I have taken them for 18 years!  Without them, life would have been full of a lot of pain, fatigue, and medications.  I am thankful to God for bringing me the AIM products and stressing the importance of the Healthy Cell Concept.  I am thankful for people in the AIM Family that have taught me how to become healthy from the cellular level.

A combination of the AIM products, exercise,  a healthy lifestyle change, and  God’s grace, has allowed me to regain my health.  I give thanks to AIM for helping me to learn about the healthy cell concept and give thanks to God for allowing me to have a good quality of life.  I am now able to do the activities that I want to do with my family and have the energy to enjoy life.  Currently I am in my mid 40’s and I am able to snow ski, water ski, wake board, play basketball, play volleyball, jog, ride bikes, hike in the Grand Canyon, swim, flips off the diving board, white water rafting, ride roller coasters, just about anything I want to do.  With our busy lifestyle, the AIM products have given me the energy to keep up with my kid’s schedule, work, and volunteer in our church.  I also have the confidence that my children are getting good nutrition through AIM’s BarleyLife and the other AIM products that they take each day.

Work Experience

I have over 20 years of experience of teaching people the importance of exercise and eating healthy.  For the past 17 years, I have been self employed as a personal trainer, a Health and Wellness Consultant, and an AIM distributer.

As a personal trainer, I teach that exercise has many benefits for people of all ages.  Some of the obvious ones are increased strength, endurance, stamina, and energy along with weight loss, reduction of stress, and improvement in one’s quality of sleep.  Some of the benefits that can be seen later are:  lower blood pressure, lower cholesterol, reduce the symptoms of diabetes, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, and blood sugar problems.  Exercise can also increase one’s metabolism and the immune system.

I have trained children and teenagers who might want to lose weight, gain muscle, or improve for a specific sport.  I have trained men and women who want to regain their health and improve their quality of life.  I have helped women to regain their healthy weight after having a baby.  I explain to senior citizens that whether they are 55 or 90 years old, they can still receive the same benefits of exercising and that it is never to late to start (as long as they get their doctor’s permission.)

Nutrition and Weight Loss

Good nutrition is very important in improving one’s health.  I do not recommend diets (unless for serious diseases) but instead a balance of protein, carbohydrates, fats, and portion control.  I take your long term goals and break them down into short term goals and develop your own personal exercise and nutritional plan for your lifestyle.  I also teach the importance of vitamins, minerals, enzymes, water, healthy cells, lymphatic health, and colon health.  I also educate people about Candida, parasites, and hormones.  This combination has helped me to gain back my life after suffering from fibromyalgia for over 30 years.   This information has shown to help many people to improve their health or to maintain good health.

Sports Nutrition

Athletes require extra nutrition.  They need to concentrate on feeding the cells to have healthy muscles, ligaments, and tendons, which will allow the athlete to jump higher, jump longer, faster, and more endurance, quicker, stronger, and increase reaction time.  Good cell food can not only repair the damaged muscle fibers but will help to reduce the recovery time of each workout.  Different sports require different ratios of protein, carbohydrates, and fats.

I am now able to do the activities that I want to do with my family and have the energy to enjoy life.  With our busy lifestyle, the AIM products are easy and convenient and they have given me the energy to keep up with my kid’s schedule, work, and volunteer in our church.  I also have the confidence that my children are getting good nutrition through AIM BarleyLife and other AIM products that they take.

AIM Products that Help Me to Reduce Fibromyalgia Symptoms

I do take all of the following products, but not all at one time.  I take a few every day, and the others I rotate on a regular basis or take as needed.

AIM BarleyLife feeds my cells good and healthy food.  It not only helped me to recover from many of my health problems, but it gives me the energy that I need to exercise.  It also has many amino acids which is needed to help repair the muscles after each workout or to repair the damage done with stress of daily life.

AIM  Herbal Fiberblend helps to keep my colon clean of toxins, kills parasites, and the extra fiber helps in balanceing my blood sugar so I do not crave sweets or food in general.  The parasites can cause symptoms of fibromyalgia, IBS, and chronic fatigue.

AIM Para 90 helps to kill and remove parasites from throughout the body.

AIM Peak Endurance is a grape electrolyte drink mix combining ATP (adenosine triphosphate), electrolytes, vitamin C, phosphorus, and B vitamins.  It elevates ATP levels in the blood, cells, and tissues which increases energy levels and reduces fatigue.

AIM Herbal Release helps to clean the toxins from the lymphatic system.  It is bombarded with toxins from the air we breathe, drinks, and food.

AIM Renewed Balance is a natural progesterone cream made from yams.  It helps to balance the hormones and eliminate many of the symptoms from estrogen dominance which include PMS symptoms and menopause symptoms.

AIM Composure is a combination of herbs that help my muscles to relax from stress or help me to sleep.

AIM Flora Food is a probiotic which puts the good bacteria back in the colon.  It can help to control candida which can cause many FM symptoms.

AIM Bear Paw Garlic is an odorless garlic that is known to fight fungus, bacteria, and virus which can cause many FM symptoms.

AIM PrepZymes is made up of many digestive enzymes.  Certain foods that I eat can trigger the FM symptoms, so I take these before I eat.  Sometimes after I eat, I am sleepy or bloated and it also eliminates these symptoms.  I can take them inbetween meals and it helps to reduce pain.

AIM Cell Wellness Restorer is a liquid that can be applied directly to the sore muscles and it helps to ease the pain.  It can also be poured in the bath water or a foot soak.

Don’t let Fibromyalgia control your life.  You take control of the Fibromyalgia so you can have a good qualtiy of life.

A friend of mine posted your testimony on Facebook and God has spoken so clearly to me!

I was diagnosed with Fibro 2 days ago! I have been grappling with whether or not to fill the doctors prescription or not as I have heard how bad the side effects are.

There is no way that this is coincidence, God, through your testimony has shown me the way to go.

I live in Cape Town South Africa, if you have any way of putting me in contact with someone who supplies AIM products, I would be so greatful.

Thank you for sharing your testimony and I pray the Lords richest blessings over your life!
