Get Active!

Published

Your body was designed to move. It needs water, rest, proper nutrition and exercise to maintain optimal health. Our bodies are approximately two-thirds water. Now think about when water sits for a long time, not a pretty picture. This is similar to what goes on in the body when we don’t move, it becomes toxic and a breathing ground for disease.

On the other hand think about water that moves, like a waterfall, it is beautiful and alive. Exercise refreshes your body, clears it of toxins, sharpen your mind and give you strength and energy. Get active today, shake things up. Clearly it pays to be active. The key is finding activities that you enjoy and that you will do on a regular basis.  Join me in being active, how about some Yoga, Tai Chi, or Pilates? No, how about putting on your dancing shoes and joining me for some ballroom dancing? Let’s go bowling, play some ball or go biking. Swimming in the pool or at the beach is fun. See you on the golf course, walking is a great way to get active.

Rehydrate, revitalize, energizeWhatever you choose, start out slowly and gradually increase your activity to a level that is right for you. Remember, the more active you are, the more water you will need to drink to keep hydrated. Replacing the water lost through sweating is important. Get active today!
