Protect Your Mental Health

The brain plays a major role in mental health. It is the command and control center of the  body, which allows us to think, decide, control our actions,  and coordinate the ability to move, touch, smell, hear and see. Your brain is involved in everything you do, so it is essential to love and nurture your brain not just for mental health but for overall health.

Ginkgo SupplementAlzheimer’s disease is one of the diseases that affects mental health. It is the most common cause of dementia in older people.  Dementia is a medical condition that disrupts the way the brain works. Alzheimer’s  affects the parts of the brain that control thought, memory, and language.  Although the risk of getting the disease increases with age, it is not a normal part of aging.  Symptoms Include initial mild forgetfulness, confusion with names and simple mathematical problems, forgetfulness  to do simple everyday tasks, i.e., brushing their teeth, problems speaking, understanding, reading and writing, behavioral and personality changes. Many people worry that their forgetfulness is a sign of Alzheimer’s disease. A good example of the difference between forgetfulness and dementia is the following: If you do not remember where you put your glasses, that is forgetfulness. If you don’t remember that you wear glasses, that may be a sign of dementia. At present, the precise cause or causes of the disease is unknown and there is no cure. Some research has drawn a connection between Alzheimer’s disease and high concentration of aluminum in the brain and many of them point to nutritional deficiencies.

Take care of yourself. Be socially active, feeling alone and isolated is a risk factor. Do something new to keep the brain active, thinking and learning. Get a good night sleep and exercise regularly. Building a diet around whole foods, drinking eight glasses of pure water daily, and using AIM supplements will nourish cells to be their best.
