Breast milk is the best possible nourishment for infants. It provides exactly the right balance of nutrients, which adapt to your baby’s changing requirements. Breast milk is economical and always available at the right temperature. Also, the milk supply adjusts to the baby’s needs; the more the baby nurses, the more milk the breasts produce. How awesome!

Nutrition that works! Were you breastfed as a baby? There are lasting benefits to breastfeeding. Mothers milk is much easier for baby to digest, lowers the incidence of food allergies and protects the baby from many infectious diseases. Nursing also  promote healthy oral development and enhances bonding between mother and child. Breastfeeding is beneficial to the mother in that it encourages the uterus to contract, returning it to it’s pre-pregnant size. Also, because the body burns lots of calories a day to produce breast milk, nursing mothers tend to lose weight gained during pregnancy. Breastfeeding is highly recommended  but do not feel inadequate or badly about not being able to breastfeed.  Choose the best formula that meets your baby’s needs.

In order to establish and maintain a good milk supply, you must take care of yourself. Remember, whatever you eat or drink will be passed on to your baby.  Getting enough rest is important. Building a diet around whole foods, drinking eight glasses of pure water daily, and using AIM supplements will nourish cells to be their best.
