How Do You Get Your EFA’s?
Published
EFA’s (Essential Fatty Acids) are the good fats that are needed for our health. The essential fatty acids we’re talking about are omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. They are essential because the body needs them but cannot make them. So it is important for us to include them in our diets. Some great food sources are nuts and seeds. You can try some raw or dry roasted nuts as a snack or add some seeds on top of a salad. Let’s include them in our diets every day.
We can benefit greatly by doing this as it is needed for so many functions in the body.
EFA’s help the body in many ways:
- Make healthy cells
- Soften and smooth the skin
- Support healthy hair
- Balance hormones
- Functions of the brain and nervous system
Because EFA’s are absolutely necessary for good health and the body cannot make them, I make sure to add omega-3 and omega-6 rich foods to my diet whenever possible. I also supplement daily with AIM’s AIMega. It provides a balanced 2:1 ratio of omega-3 and omega-6 essential fatty acids from organic seed oils.
- Helps maintain cardiovascular health
- Combats inflammation
- Helps maintain healthy cell membrane structure and function
- Promotes healthy skin
- Provides omega-9 fatty acids from olive oil
- Medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs) provide energy
- 120 gelatin capsules (gelatin is Halal and Kosher)
Supplementing with AIMega is such an important part of my healthy lifestyle. It is an easy way to ensure that I am providing the nutrients my body needs, as well as, the EFA’s it cannot make for itself. Let us do all we can to maintain our good health!
