Exercise, Why Do I Do It?

Exercise, Why Do I Do It?

Why In the world do I exercise and why do I need it?

Well first and foremost I exercise to honor my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and this is my most important reason to do so.  You may ask but what’s in it for me?  And this is a very good question.  By exercising I gain more benefits than I exert in my exercise efforts.

Here are 10 of the many benefits of my exercising:

  • I feel energized after I exercise.
  • I am more alert throughout my day.
  • Exercise helped me lose my weight ( I lost 54 lbs.).
  • I am able to maintain my weight loss and have for about 2 years.
  • Exercise lifts my mood and spirit.
  • I feel good about who I am.
  • I feel good about my husband’s affections.
  • Exercise helps me release any frustrations I may have in a positive way.
  • I sleep deeper, more soundly, and more restful.
  • I am a more positive woman when I exercise.

In my post today I’ve mentioned only the benefits I receive from exercise.  But there are many health benefits each of us can gain by doing regular exercise such as fat loss, lowering blood sugars, lowering “bad” (LDL) cholesterol while raising the “good” (HDL) cholesterol to name a few of the health benefits of exercise.
