3 more smoothies… Pumpkin pie, Pina Colada and Fruity chocolate.
Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.
I like to play around with my smoothies, since to have the same flavours every day is not only boring to our tastebuds, but boring to our bodies as well. It is good for our bodies to have a switch up with our foods so that it can digest things in a different way. Just like the same exercise eventually stops being that effective so it is with the same foods.
So here are a few different flavours and ideas for you…
Pumpkin pie smoothie
Half to 1 cup unsweetened pure pumpkin (read ingredients on can)

Nutmeg and ginger, about a quarter teaspoon each

Stevia may be necessary or raw honey or maple syrup
Half to one cup unsweetened almond milk
1 scoop Propeas (Yummy Vanilla Vegan protein powder from AIM)
¼ avocado (or more if desired)
2 tablespoons ground flax seeds
1-3 teaspoons coconut oil (optional)
1 teaspoon LeafGreens
Ice according to own preferences
Water or kefir water to fill the cracks
Pina Colada
Half to one cup unsweetened coconut milk (superstore the best place to get it.)
Half cup pineapple half cup strawberries or 1 cup pineapple
1-3 teaspoons coconut oil (optional)
2 tablespoons or so of unsweetened coconut shreds
2 tablespoons ground flax seeds
¼ avocado
1 scoop ProPeas (Yummy Vanilla Vegan protein powder from AIM)
1 teaspoon LeafGreens
Ice (according to own preferences.)
Water or water Kefir to fill the cracks
Chocolate smoothie
Half to one cup unsweetened almond milk
One banana
Half to ¾ cup frozen fruit (your choice…berries or peaches or mix…)
1-3 teaspoons Coconut oil
¼ avocado
2 tablespoon cocoa powder
2 tablespoon flax seeds ground
1 scoop ProPeas (Yummy Vanilla Vegan protein powder from AIM)
1 teaspoon Cocoa LeafGreens
Ice (according to own preferences.)
Water or water Kefir to fill the cracks
Put all ingredients into a blender and mix till smooth. You can use the immersion blender very successfully too, in a beer mug or the container that the blender comes in.
TIP: I have found that to “sandwich” the powders and oils between the fruit and liquids helps to avoid a sticky mess in the lid or when blending.
Taste and see that the Lord (and His foods) are good!
Be blessed and let me know one of your faves
